Lampwork Glass Bead

DETAILS
This little gem of a bicone bead is made using a base of transparent glasses, yellow green at the ends, blending into a dark aquamarine in the center. It has swirls of copper green and lapis blue worked into the glass. It was then exposed to an oxygen starved flame, turning some of the exposed copper green into a brick orange. the bead was then shaped with paddles into a bicone shape, with flattened planes.

Bead Width (side to side): c. 14 mm (9/16 inch)
Bead Height (hole to hole): c. 21 mm (7/8 inch)
Hole Size: c. 2 mm. (3/32 mandrel used)
