This set of beads consists of 1 focal and 9 pairs of beads. They are made using shades of muted greens and yellows, with some brownish accents where the glass colors touch and reacted with each other.
The focal and the two larger bead pairs (4) have a base of transparent pale green glass with the other colors added to the surface. There are three pairs (6) beads that have a yellow base, with the green applied to the surface, 2 pairs (4) with a green base and yellow applied to the surface. the remaining 2 pairs (4) have the transparent green base, with a band of green at the equator, and the yellow applied in this band. Most often the brown tones develop where the yellow was applied on top of the green.
the beads are shown strung on a waxed cord, with yellow and chartreuse silver cored seed beads used as spacers. This is the way you will receive the beads. (You could add clasps on the end, and wear immediately if you like!)
the focal and 4 larger beads are approximately the same size, and the remaining 14 beads are also just about the same size, with maybe 1 or 2 mm variance.
5 Larger Beads:
Bead Width (side to side): c. 12 mm (1/2 inch)
Bead Height (hole to hole): c. 10.5 mm (7/16 inch)
14 Smaller Beads:
Bead Width (side to side): c. 8 - 10 mm (3/8 - 7/16 inch)
Bead Height (hole to hole): c. 6 - 8 mm (1/4 - 5/16 inch)
Hole Size: c. 2 mm. (3/32 mandrel used)
