DETAILS
This bicone focal bead is inspired by the smoke that is currently in the air here in California due to all the recent wildfires. It has a base of opaque turqoise glass, which has been decorated with ivory, and a hand built stringer of black, white and grey glass. It was then heavily encased in clear glass, swirling the underlying design into motion. A central band of clear was added, with blue-green reduction frit in this band to add depth, color and motion.

Bead Width (side to side): c. 15 mm ( 5/8 inch)
Bead Height (hole to hole): c. 26 mm ( 1 1/16 inch)
Hole Size: c. 2 mm. (3/32 mandrel used)
