Lampwork Glass Bead

DETAILS
This is a flat, oval focal bead with a core of bright yellow and green stripes, which was then wound and encased in a transparent pale yellow-green glass before shaping with paddles. The surface was then modified with melted in frit, which is barely seen, as its main effect was to add some very faint veining on the surface of the glass.

Bead Width (side to side): c. 22 mm ( 7/8 inch)
Bead Height (hole to hole): c.28 mm ( 1 1/8 inch)
Bead Thickness: c. 8 mm. ( 5/16 inch)
Hole Size: c. 2 mm. (3/32 mandrel used)
